Children & Young People @ Holy Trinity
Children are welcome at Holy Trinity Leverstock Green
“Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.”
Mark 10: 14
We have close and positive links with Leverstock Green C of E VC Primary School where we lead weekly Collective Worship and offer curriculum support.
The school attends Holy Trinity regularly for its seasonal worship.
Safeguarding
We strive for the highest standards in providing a safe environment for all at Holy Trinity. Those who volunteer to work with children and young people are appropriately trained and DBS checked.
Our Parish Safeguarding Officers are Monty Onanuga and Miles Cooksey who can be contacted about any safeguarding matter on – Miles07503182268 and Monty 07949094541.
Holy Trinity has step-free access, toilets and baby change facilities, and a hearing loop. If you have other needs, please speak to us about how we can help.
Activities for children and young families at HT

TODDLER CHURCH meets Thursday mornings during termtime from 10am to 11.15am. This is part playgroup, and part very simple worship. You are welcome to drop in occasionally or come regularly, and you will be made very welcome. It’s appropriate for babies from birth right up until they go to nursery, and it’s a great way for parents and carers to make friends too. Term time only.
JUNIOR CHURCH is our Sunday School and takes place during the 10 o’clock Sunday service. Children start with their parents in church and after about 10 minutes go out together for their own teaching, games, craft and chats. They return together at the end of the service to receive a blessing (or Communion if they’ve been prepared for that). It’s suitable for children aged 3 up, and parents are welcome to join them until they’re settled happily.
Children’s Corner
If you have younger children in church on Sunday mornings, you’re welcome to sit with them in the children’s corner, where there are books, toys, puzzles and colouring. And there are colouring boxes which they can take to the pew if you prefer.
TYG – the Youth Group. This group meets once a month on the 3rd Sunday of the month, from 6pm to 7.30pm. The first meeting of term is on September 19th. It’s for children from Year 6 up. They play games, have quizzes and discussions, and usually share pizzas during the evening.

ALL AGE SERVICES. During the pandemic we’ve only been able to offer standard Communion services led by a priest alone, because of distancing etc. But our previous pattern of monthly services more appropriate for children and families will resume, starting with our Harvest Festival. It’s not always the first Sunday of the month, but depends when festivals fall, so keep an eye on our publicity for further events.
FAMILY FUN. There will be other opportunities to socialise with other families – perhaps games afternoons, walks etc. If you have ideas, or would be happy to lead on something, please get in touch.
Whatever you choose to come to, we’ll be delighted to see you and you will be made very welcome.
